The Skyline is a Bauhaus Design + Build custom home located in Dallas, TX that takes a unique approach to the two story floor plan. The spaces of the Jetsetter are stacked in hierarchical order in terms of their interaction to the site’s surroundings in order to maximize space. The first level contains the entry, private spaces, and secluded swimming pool. Off of the primary entry is the vertical circulatory element, the open wood stair. Windows are placed on the back face of the stair to provide a transitional experience as you travel from floor to floor. The second level contains the home’s public spaces in a large open volume. The grouping of the living, kitchen, and dining spaces coupled with floor to ceiling windows under a wood slat ceiling provide an environment perfect for entertainment. The final level of in the progression opens to the blue Texas sky. The expansive roof deck provides an elevated outdoor leisure space bordered by tree tops and the skyline of downtown Dallas.
